apprenticeship program

Education and training are essential to our programming.

Our outdoor Shakespeare productions always have a strong youth acting ensemble of 4-6 and we find positions and places for youth artists in our year-round productions. We are excited to work with the up and coming theatre makers of tomorrow.

If you are a high school or college student interested in learning more about professional theater (such as acting, directing, design, production, management), send an email to lucas@theptmn.org.

PictureProduction Apprentice 2014
Public Theater of Minnesota was an amazing learning environment for a young actor looking for experience in Shakespeare. I got to perform alongside some brilliant actors and I'm very grateful for the experience! ~ Ben Weiman, Acting Apprentice Company '14

I have worked with so many great people at PTMN! To be given the chance to do meaningful work is really rewarding for me. From helping conduct auditions, working in the office, being backstage as an assistant stage manager on Romeo and Juliet and the house manager for Macbeth, I have learned a lot about the industry. ~Miranda Smith, Administration Apprentice '12-'14
